WCAS is one of the oldest, largest, and most successful private equity firms. Since its founding 31 years ago, the Firm has maintained a partnership philosophy with its employees, Limited Partners, portfolio management teams, and other service providers. Three groups of individuals play pivotal roles in WCAS's activities:

• The investment professionals are led by 13 General Partners who combine strategic, operational and financial experience with extensive relationships and expertise within the Firm's target industries.
• The WCAS Resources Group works under the direction of the General Partners and is comprised of 21 operating executives who have strong industry expertise and relationships. They participate in the investment process by assisting with deal sourcing, due diligence, and implementation of operational initiatives within portfolio companies. They also serve on portfolio company boards.
• The Board of Advisors consults with the General Partner on topics such as the valuation of portfolio securities and potential conflicts of interest within the WCAS Partnerships.

Investment Professionals
The General Partners have unparalleled strategic, operational and financial experience combined with extensive relationships and expertise within the Firm’s target industries. The General Partners average 21 years of relevant experience in private equity and 17 years working together at WCAS. Given its industry specialization, WCAS overweights General Partners in its investment ranks and emphasizes a hands-on investment approach. Typically, two or three General Partners, along with other investment professionals, are directly involved in the due diligence and active management of each investment.

WCAS prefers to build its organization internally by hiring, developing, and promoting the most talented and successful professionals possible. The last seven appointed General Partners at WCAS were all promoted from within the Firm. WCAS continues to hire and develop other outstanding private equity professionals, who will move into higher levels of responsibility and authority during the investment period for WCAS XI and beyond.

The General Partners are assisted by a team of investment professionals consisting of Principals, Vice Presidents, and Associates. WCAS profit participation and co-investment requirements are widely spread amongst the investment professionals, based on experience and contributions to the Firm.

WCAS Resources Group
WCAS proactively recruited highly successful operating executives to form the WCAS Resources Group, given the Firm's belief in generating value through operational improvements of its portfolio companies rather than focusing exclusively on financial engineering or multiple expansion. Based on their strong industry expertise and relationships, the WCAS Resources Group assists during the investment process by identifying deals, conducting due diligence and implementing operating initiatives across the portfolio. They also serve on portfolio company boards and provide advice to portfolio company management teams. In certain cases, these operating executives will join WCAS portfolio companies in senior management roles. The financial arrangement with each executive varies depending on each individual's situation.
